what is the cheapest day to book air line tickets? What are the cheapest days to fly?
I am flying to the U.S. from Europe. I would like to book the cheapest flights possible. If there is a certain day of the week to book and certain days that are cheaper to fly on...let me know. Thank you so much.
PS: If you know of a good air line...put that in to.
Tuesday for booking flights. Tuesday, Wednesday and thrusday are the days with the lightest scheduals so generally have cheaper prices. Try Kayak.com it covers most airlines and includes the fares found on Travelocity and the other discounters.
Once you have found a flight that looks good on Kayak. contact the airline directly and let them know the fare you have been offered. they will usually meet or beat the price. Also ask them if they have any specials. They just can't come out and tell you! You have to ask. Dealing directly with the airline adds flexibility to your ticket. make sure you know the costs of changing your ticket in an emergency. The discount ticket agencys just screw you on changes.
